Add-ons
Add-ons are what give VortX its catalogs (the rows on Home) and its streaming sources. VortX speaks the Stremio add-on protocol, so any Stremio-compatible add-on works.
Install an add-on
- Open Add-ons in the app.
- Paste the add-on’s manifest URL (it usually ends in
/manifest.json). - Tap Install.
The add-on’s catalogs appear on Home and its sources show up on title pages. If you signed in to a VortX account, your add-ons travel with you.
Customize catalogs
Open Add-ons → Customize catalogs to:
- Show or hide any catalog row on Home.
- Reorder the rows so your favorites sit at the top.
These choices are per profile, so each profile can have its own Home.
Remove an add-on
In the Add-ons list, tap Remove on any non-default add-on. Default add-ons that ship with the engine cannot be removed.
A note on sources
VortX does not provide any sources itself. What you can play depends entirely on the add-ons you install and any debrid or direct links they return. See Streaming and sources.
