Profiles

VortX supports multiple profiles on one device, each with its own library, watch history, and Home layout, so everyone in the house gets their own space without paying for extra “supporter” tiers.

How profiles work

• The main profile reads and writes through the engine, so its library and history sync to your VortX (and Stremio) account.
• Additional profiles keep their own local library and history and never touch the main account’s data.

Switching profiles

Open the profile switcher from Settings (or the top bar on Apple TV) and pick a profile. Continue Watching, the library, and catalog customizations all follow the active profile.

Coming soon: family accounts

A “family” model is in development: each member will be able to link their own VortX account to a profile and leave the family later, taking their data with them. Until then, profiles are local to the device (and travel with your account backup).
